About SE Woodwork Designs
I have been working in the construction industry since 1996 as a carpenter & joiner, and have a keen interest in design and the application of different materials to the best effect.

I have had the benefit of working on a great many projects using a variety of materials where premium quality is key.

Each project is different and brings its own set of challenges, this helps to keep my work interesting! I enjoy planning each job from start to finish with the best end result and budget as paramount considerations.

I am an approachable person who will guide you through the process and am able to tailor the work to best suit your needs.

Fireplace Feature Wall
It’s hard to imagine that this WOW fireplace feature wall was once just an empty, blank wall. The finished design has transformed this area of the room into a functional yet homely and stunning living space.
The chimney breast is beautifully proportioned, housing a sleek, modern and generously-sized contemporary electric fire. To ensure symmetry on the two spaces either side of the chimney, we extended the boxing-in on the left hand side. This extension then reached the front of the units, simplifying the overall look. The television is recessed within a frame and it is also on an extendable bracket allowing access to hidden cables. The curving ends of the sound-bar aperture allow a little more space around the speaker whilst softening the effect of having a series of openings in close proximity to each other. This popular shaker-style compliments the kitchen area which shares the space.

Constructed using tulip wood for the front frames and doors; popular for painted joinery being stable, clean and receiving paint well. The insides are made from ash-veneered boards with solid ash lips on the shelf fronts. Our preferred superior-quality hinges, catches and shelf-supports complement the warm tones of the ash and the soft colour of the painted tulip wood. The final, polished look is achieved by constructing floating shelves with LED down-lights, allowing a proportional spread of light to draw the eye to the entire space.
