Wood Structure

Shaker Cupboards

Shaker Cupboards (Example 1)

Originally, this unit had been installed as an open shelving unit.

We constructed these shaker doors to cloak the fronts and add some quality to what was a fairly basic unit.

The doors are fitted using good quality Blum concealed hinges which are both practical and help create a very clean look which this modern shaker style deserves.

As this unit had never been designed to have doors, we had to a few difficulties to overcome, mainly due to the lack of space between the front of the cabinet and the worktop projection.

The doors are set into the cabinet openings and Tulip wood trims that we produced cloak the remaining visible edges of the previous cabinet fronts. The finish look is a real success and looks as though it had been designed to be this way from the star

Shaker Cupboards (Example 2)

We love the look of these units, they have a lot of nice features.

They are made from Tulip wood, with oak veneered cabinets, the proportions work well and as we have said before the contrast between the Warm Oak and the soft pastel paint colour of the outside compliment each other!

Good quality hinges, catches and shelf studs have been used, also the shelves have solid oak lips again adding to the quality.

The floating shelves above create some nice display space and help to dress the room.

This area creates a feeling of depth and interest, which helps to balance the newly installed fireplace and TV wall we had created to the left.
